Dr. Danielle Zimmer, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Danielle Zimmer is an associate veterinarian who sees patients both through Pieper-Olson primary care in Middletown as well as through our Urgent Care hospital in Madison. Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Zimmer graduated as an English major from St. Lawrence University in 2015 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2020. She is a member of both the CVMA and AVMA, with special clinical interests in emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery, shelter medicine, and wellness and preventative care.
Dr. Zimmer lives with her husband and their two dogs, O'Malley the "coconut retriever" and Callie the Bernese mountain dog. When not at work, she enjoys reading, hiking, and exercising with her dogs. As a child Dr. Zimmer's family dog was diagnosed with cancer, and experiencing firsthand the care and support they received from their veterinarian inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Her favorite part of her job is being able to watch her patients improve, and being there for their families in their time of need.
