Outpatient Ultrasound

Pieper Veterinary Stratford offers outpatient ultrasounds, an important diagnostic imaging tool to help monitor your pet's health. Both abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms (ultrasounds of the heart) are performed by experienced specialists, and are scheduled as outpatient appointments through our Stratford hospital.

Ultrasounds are available for both current clients of Pieper, as well as clients from other veterinary hospitals. If your veterinarian is referring you to be seen at Pieper for an ultrasound, please have them contact us so we can work with them to set up an appointment. If your pet doesn't have a referral or if you have questions about the ultrasound service, please feel free to contact us so we can assist you.

Please withhold food starting 8 hours prior to ultrasound examination (unless contraindicated for medical reasons). Water should remain available for your pet throughout the night. Please note the examined area may need to be shaved to allow for the best image quality and an accurate diagnosis. Sedation may be required on a case-by-case basis.
